E tu Kahikatea...

Last Friday, 23 Tūhono tamariki were a part of the annual Tatarakihi Kapa Haka Festival held in Hawera.  For many of them it was their first time performing on a stage and they did Frankley School proud.  Each one of them performed with mana (pride) and wehi (courage) and had lots of fun along the way.  We are so proud of all of them and it was great to see all their mahi (hard work) pay off!

Click on the link to see some videos taken by parents and also below is the official video of Frankley School's performance...

Running! Running!

What a tumeke effort Tūhono put into completing their Cross Country races on Tuesday.  Everyone raced to their own ability and many surprised themselves at what they could achieve.  All their training paid off and everyone can be very proud of their efforts.  It was a fun Frankley day with lots of whānau there to support our tamariki.

Daffodil Day

Daffodil Day symbolises all New Zealanders coming together in the fight against cancer. This year, Daffodil Day is on Friday 31 August 2018. Daffodil Day is Cancer Society's most important annual fundraiser.
At school, each hub has a sheet to stick a gold coin onto to turn the white part of the daffodil into gold. If you have a spare gold coin to donate to this cause please bring it along THIS Friday.

Hockey Semi-Finals

So great to see lots of Tūhono students down at the hockey turf this morning. Great grit and skills shown. Even if the end score isn't what you wanted - remember you put together lots of great moves and combinations. Very proud to cheer you on. Well done Hannah for your trophy for player of the day.

The coffee between games with Mrs Morris was pretty good too!!!! I think Tūhono are her favourites!!!

Tūhono does love to dress up!! Especially for Book Character Day...

Tūhono had a wonderful day together celebrating our Frankley Book Fair Week.  Everyone dressed up as a book character or any kind of character and paraded around the school showing off their creations.  Thank you so much to our whānau and tamariki that put in so much effort to support the day.  Tomorrow our most creative costumes will be announced in the whakangahau - who's costume did you like the most?  Check out all these crazy characters by clicking on the link below...
